Bioscience Account Manager, San Francisco

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Bioscience Account Manager to drive sales growth across academic and biotech customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role combines field-based account management, prospecting, and technical selling of life-science reagents, consumables, and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed territory sales targets through account management and new business development
- Execute prospecting, qualification, and value-based selling strategies with cold outreach
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to position solutions and drive adoption
- Manage sales pipeline through forecasting, opportunity tracking, and account planning
- Generate demand through office hours, seminars, and direct stakeholder engagement at universities and biotech firms
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in biology or related field
- 5+ years in wet lab/scientific industries or 4+ years with graduate degree
- Strong technical understanding of customer applications and laboratory workflows
- Proven track record achieving sales targets in scientific or instrumentation sales
- Ability to build relationships across account levels and identify key decision makers
- Knowledge of customer buying processes and account mapping
