ES Network Administrator II (On-site)

The University of Houston System is hiring a Network Analyst to design, install, and maintain complex LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments that support voice, data, and video services. The role includes analyzing network performance, implementing policies, diagnosing issues, and advising technical staff to ensure efficient network operations and infrastructure security. Highlights Designs, installs, supports, and maintains enterprise LAN/WAN and wireless networks. Monitors network performance, utilization, and availability. Diagnoses and resolves network failures and integrity issues. Develops and enforces network standards and policies. Evaluates and recommends networking products and software upgrades. Prepares performance metrics and reports for management. Consults with and may lead Network Operations and technical support staff. Requires a 4-year related degree or equivalent specialized training, with 3+ years of directly job-related experience; experience may substitute for education. Position involves moderate physical activity, occasional exposure to environmental hazards, and participation in on-call and emergency response rotations.
