Lead Commercial Service Technician

The Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to step into a lead, high-visibility role with a rapidly growing building automation and HVAC services organization as they launch a new Houston branch. We’re looking for a seasoned Commercial Service Technician who can own projects from start to finish, serve as the face of the company with customers, and help establish best practices, service standards, and customer trust in a brand-new market. Why This Role Stands Out Lead technician for a newly launched Houston operation High autonomy with the ability to run service calls end-to-end Customer-facing role where your professionalism and communication matter Opportunity to grow into expanded leadership as the branch scales Work with modern building automation and energy management technologies What You’ll Do Perform commercial HVAC service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and gas/electric systems Handle service calls independently and collaborate with project managers on larger jobs Read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical plans, and control schematics Work with low-voltage electrical systems and basic control interfaces Interface directly with customers and represent the company at the highest level Support work around Building Automation Systems and integration points Help set the tone, standards, and service quality for a growing Houston presence What We’re Looking For 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to manage work from start to finish without hand-holding Confident, professional, and customer-focused communication style Experience reading wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage systems EPA Certification (required) BAS exposure or controls experience is a strong plus Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Occasional overtime and weekends as needed Competitive hourly pay based on experience 100% medical insurance covered for employee AND family 401(k) with 4% company match 2 weeks of vacation starting Day 1 7 paid holidays Company take‑home vehicle Gas card Company phone and laptop Why Join Now You won’t just be filling a role—you’ll be helping build a branch , shape customer relationships, and establish service excellence from day one.
