Sr. Cloud Engineer

Position Summary Sr. Cloud Engineer to build, develop, and maintain cloud-native software web applications and systems in support of CVS business needs and end customers. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions. Responsibilities Assist with cloud-native application development, web development, API integration and scaling them in real time to meet internal users and end-customer customer needs. Participate in entire software lifecycle development, testing, CI/CD and production operations. Develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs. Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing. Collaborate with Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Leverage knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and designing and optimizing queries to build data pipelines. Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers. Integrate data from a variety of sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions that meet the requirements dictated by the model/use case. Mentor junior Cloud Engineers. Requirements Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT and DevOps; Java Python, or Node.js; XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or Javascript; Agile methodologies and SAFe Software Principles; Data analytics on large data sets in health care, business, or retail sector; SAS or SQL programming languages; Databases: Oracle, Teradata, or DB2; Domain support for healthcare or retail organization; Cloud components including cluster management, containerized services, storage, and workspace management; Cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); and Infrastructure components: GPUs or CPUs. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $109,512.00/year to $185,400.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVSHealth bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
