Job Description:

• The Project Manager I (PM-I) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects associated with Liquefied Natural Gas (Client) facilities.
• This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder communications while working under general supervision.
• The PM-I collaborates with engineering, operations, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to help ensure successful project delivery in a safe and compliant manner.
• This position is ideal for an early to mid-career project manager seeking to expand their experience managing engineering and construction projects within the utility and energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing Client facility projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout phases.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate activities with engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Support project scope development, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management activities.
• Monitor project progress and provide status updates to project teams and leadership.
• Assist with contract administration, contractor oversight, and consultant coordination.
• Support compliance with federal, state, environmental, and permitting requirements.
• Partner with Client Energy Security, Telecommunications, Operations, Engineering, and other business units to resolve project-related issues.
• Identify project risks and help develop practical solutions to maintain project objectives.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support environmental compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum 5-6 years of project management, engineering, or related utility/industrial project experience.
• Experience supporting engineering, construction, infrastructure, or Client-related projects.
• Working knowledge of federal and North Carolina permitting and environmental requirements.
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Client, natural gas, utility, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
• Familiarity with utility project management processes and practices.
• PMP certification or progress toward certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams.
