Senior Combat Systems Project Technician

You will serve as a Senior Combat Systems Project Technician responsible for the planning and execution of AEGIS Modernization (AMOD) Combat System work packages during AMOD availabilities. You will interface with senior level staff from other naval commands, lead office and shipboard efforts. You will provide senior-level technical services related to the Integration, Test and Evaluation, and Life-cycle Engineering and Logistics support of Surface Combatant ships, their Combat Systems, Weapon Systems, and related support equipment. You will ensure the accuracy of technical tasks assigned to each availability and that planned actions and associated reports are accomplished accurately and within scheduled time frames. You will ensure that Combat Systems and their elements are integrated on Surface Combatants during availability and modernization events. You will provide technical/consultative services and training during Installation, and check-out, tests certifications, analysis, or other test/evaluation efforts at shipyards, on board ships, test sites, contractor sites, and/or school commands. You will conduct research and comprehensive design studies into development acquisition and/or in-service technical support for assigned equipment. You will evaluate technical performance up to and including the system level of equipment associated with equipment specifically related to hardware reliability, operation, performance, and/or maintainability problems.
