Skin Care Specialist
Massage Envy
The Skin Care Specialist supports the development, testing, and implementation of new services and enhancements under the direction of the Skin Care Services Innovation Manager. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert and works closely with cross‑functional partners to translate service concepts into operationally executable solutions. The position requires strong project execution skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while ensuring deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Learning & Development, Project Managers, Operations, and Marketing to support development, implementation, and successful launch of new services and enhancements while ensuring operational excellence and achievement of key milestones. Develop, maintain, and update service protocols, intake forms, treatment notes, pairing guides, and support documentation required for service implementation. Provide technical support for new service offerings as directed. Serve as a subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of existing Skin Care services, contraindications, protocols, and product pairing offered throughout Massage Envy franchise locations. Research and independently resolve questions using available resources and proactively identify gaps or opportunities for improvement. Translate technical service information into clear, concise, and well‑organized documentation for a variety of audiences. Anticipate operational challenges and partner with cross‑functional teams to identify solutions that support smooth service implementation. Execute projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring deliverables are complete, properly formatted, and aligned with established standards. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and proactively communicating risks, roadblocks, and proposed solutions. Participates in research and development for Skin Care services and products, including sample vetting and providing feedback to the Category Manager, ensuring alignment with Massage Envy’s business objectives, and overseeing in‑house testing. Support pilot programs, service testing, and post‑launch enhancements as assigned. Provide technical support and respond to questions regarding existing and new service offerings. Support ad‑hoc projects, special requests, and additional responsibilities as needed. Education, Experience, and Skills Required: Associate degree or certification from an accredited esthetician program in related field. Must be a licensed esthetician. Prior experience in such fields as beauty, Skin Care, dermatology, or related industries. Experience in developing service protocols, procedures, or technical documentation, or operational guides. Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from concept through implementation with minimal supervision while effectively balancing multiple priorities. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate issues, identify risks, and develop practical solutions to support successful service development and launches. Excellent written and verbal communications, including the ability to create polished communications and technical documents tailored to various audiences. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes, retain knowledge, and effectively apply previously learned information and feedback to future work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, polished deliverables through the use of disciplined quality review practices to submission. Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness, including the ability to independently research unfamiliar topics, utilize available resources, and proactively seek answers rather than waiting for direction. Self‑motivated with a high degree of accountability, ownership, and personal responsibility for results. Receptive to feedback and able to incorporate change and lessons learned to continuously improve performance. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross‑functional teams and build strong working relationships. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Ability to work in a hybrid work environment. May Travel up to 15%.
