About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac/Neuro unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and manage cardiac and neurological patients, applying telemetry and dysrhythmia knowledge
• Demonstrate high proficiency with Cardiac/Neuro patient populations - candidates with Med/Surg-only backgrounds are not eligible for this role
• Float to other units as required
• Participate in holiday coverage, expected to work two of the following holiday periods: Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after; Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after; New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and the Friday/weekend after
• Adhere to facility dress code (personal scrubs of any color)

• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be provided at time of profile submission)
• Active American Heart Association BLS - must be in hand at time of submission; facility will not pend certifications
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - must be in hand at time of submission; facility will not pend certifications
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification - must be in hand at time of submission
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion - strongly required
• 4+ years of current Med/Surg, Cardiac, and/or Neuro experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Willingness to float required
• Personal vehicle required for this assignment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Strong skills checklist demonstrating high proficiency with Cardiac/Neuro patient populations (Medical Surgical skills checklist current within 1 year required at submission)
