Position Overview The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, recruiting, evaluating, and interviewing qualified candidates for various positions and levels. Duties and Responsibilities
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is primarily an office job and primarily a sedentary role; however, the position requires the ability to climb stairs, lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
It is an essential job function and safety rule, applicable to every employee working in a safety sensitive classified position, to be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Work Environment This role operates in a professional office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, printer, and file cabinets. Although the employee will primarily be in an office setting, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to visit the factory and be exposed to climactic variations, various levels of vibration, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office is usually low, but hearing protection may be advisable or required for prolonged visits to certain parts of the factory. - Coordinates each step of the new hire process from recruitment to the first day of employment; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term hiring plans based on operation's standard staffing requirements.
- Manage internal and external job postings and advertisements through for all open positions.
- Will act as a representative of Human Resources and QWP while building working relationships with both internal and external departments, organizations, and networks.
- Meet performance objectives as defined by key performance indicators
- Analyze data relevant to recruiting and retention to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.
- Ability to interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
- Availability on site to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis.
- Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedules using Paycom, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams software.
- Ability to review and analyze data and information concerning recruiting and retention metrics.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor recruitment activities.
- Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems, iSolved experience preferred.
- Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred with previous experience recruiting/hiring for production hourly positions.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
