Medical Assistant - Dermatology

Job Description Job Description Halsey Dermatology in beautiful Sag Harbor, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! Our mission is to provide high quality dermatology and skin care services to children and adults in our community. The position is available immediately, and experience is appreciated, but not required. This position would be best suited for an outgoing person who enjoys working with both Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology patients, and has an interest in skin care. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to help with patient care and keep the practice running smoothly. Responsibilities: * Rooms patients, verifies vital signs, current medications, and other relevant health information * Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner * Coordinates patient care as directed by physician and other clinical staff * Processes appropriate documents in an organized and accurate fashion * Preparing, restocking, and disinfecting examination rooms, procedure rooms, and all other patient care areas at scheduled intervals and as needed * Represents office in a professional manner and treating all customers and fellow employees in a courteous and cooperative manner * Respects patient confidentiality * Performs all other related or administrative duties as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelors or Associate's degree, or higher * Working knowledge and experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred * Prior experience and/or knowledge of an Electronic Medical Record * Spanish language proficiency/fluency appreciated, but not required Why work with us? * Excellent company culture * Reasonable hours * Work-life balance * Great patients and colleagues * We pride ourselves in a high employee retention rate, with employees returning to work for us after obtaining additional degrees in healthcare.
