Position Summary:

Prepare all final files for press and support pressroom as needed while following all safety and quality control standards.

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm

Rate: $25.75 - $33.25 Based on experience

Position Responsibilities:

• Layout and trapping of all final PDF files from customer’s app or PDF file

• Layout and trapping of all book work

• Output proofs to be QC’d

• System work as needed to create, emboss, spot UV and foil files

• Output film for all special effects

• Assisting pressroom with color corrections as needed

• Adheres to and promotes all safety, security and environmental policies and procedures

• All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shift

• Ability to occasionally carry and lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time

Position Skills:

• High levels of attention to detail

• Knowledge of department’s safety standards

• Ability to meet department quality standards

• Ability to work as a team and individually

• Ability to read and understand written instructions

• Position requires some mechanical aptitude

• Position requires ability to read a ruler metric and standard

• Position may require some mathematical calculations

• Must have general knowledge of manufacturing operations

• Ability to read and understand technical press layouts, set up instructions and production instructions

Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• 2 Years of previous printing experience
