Senior Risk Mitigation Specialist - TS/SCI

Malama Kai Technologies is seeking a Key Personnel Senior Risk Mitigation Specialist to support counterintelligence and security risk mitigation for a sensitive Department of Defense or Intelligence Community program. Acting as a critical operational node between defense and national intelligence architectures, you will analyze threats, mitigate insider risks, and help protect personnel, networks, and advanced defense technologies. You will provide expert counsel on a fast-evolving threat landscape, including foreign intelligence entity targeting, supply chain risk, and emerging insider threats. Duties and Responsibilities Act as a critical operational node bridging defense and national intelligence architectures to analyze threats, mitigate insider risks, and protect personnel, networks, and advanced defense technologies. Provide expert counsel on the evolving threat landscape, including foreign intelligence entity targeting, supply chain risks, and emerging insider threats. Conduct counterintelligence analysis, security vulnerability assessments, and threat mitigation planning. Coordinate with DoD and IC stakeholders to synchronize risk mitigation efforts and report findings. Support tasks with disciplined planning, tracking, and reporting. Minimum Qualifications At least fifteen (15) years of progressive, professional experience in intelligence analysis or other related fields Six (6) years must pertain specifically to the labor category, while the remaining experience must pertain to a related labor category. Ability to comprehensively support tasks as they pertain to counterintelligence and security risk mitigation. Experience conducting counterintelligence analysis, security vulnerability assessments, or threat mitigation planning. A DoD or military service MOS-producing course in counterintelligence, HUMINT, intelligence, or cyber. Experience within the Intelligence Community, Special Operations, or Federal Law Enforcement in the specialty areas of cyber, SIGINT, or intelligence analysis. Experience with techniques applied to identity management methodologies. Familiarity with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) principles. Experience determining the operational validity of a unit's risk management tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Knowledge of open sources, digital behaviors, and common platforms used in one or more Combatant Command (CCMD) areas of responsibility (AORs). Perform all functional duties independently Excellent verbal and written communication. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle complex and highly detailed responsibilities. Experience working collaboratively with others and providing excellent customer service. Ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions. Skill in managing multiple concurrent activities of varying complexity, including adapting to changing priorities and short turnaround times. Preferred Qualifications Active military/intelligence duty experience JCITA graduate or CCITP certificate. Completion of one or more of the following JCITA courses: Fundamentals of Sensitive Support Advanced Planners Course Advanced Technicians Course Due Diligence Course Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, STEM or a related field Six (6) years of additional work experience related to the labor may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree Associate’s degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree Security Clearance This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for that clearance level. Citizenship US Citizenship required. Travel Within the NCR as needed, less than 10% Work Location and Environment This role is on site daily at a government facility located at Fort Washington, MD. Compensation The pay range for this position is $145,000 to $170,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role.
