Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the Role: Therapy World LLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Rock Hill, SC! This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by helping them develop the skills they need to thrive every day. Responsibilities: Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for pediatric patients under the supervision of a licensed OT Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions targeting fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living skills Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment notes and goals accordingly Collaborate with occupational therapists, families, caregivers, and school personnel to support each child's development Utilize play-based and evidence-based therapy techniques to engage pediatric clients Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to reinforce therapy goals Maintain a safe, organized, and child-friendly therapy environment Requirements: Active COTA certification through NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) Valid South Carolina state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical, school, or outpatient setting preferred Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and pediatric rehabilitation techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children of all abilities Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation and records About Us: Therapy World LLC is a trusted provider of pediatric therapy services in the Rock Hill, SC area, dedicated to empowering children to reach their fullest potential.
