Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in the Operating Room. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care to patients across various age groups, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients during the perioperative phase.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to assist in various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, gynecological, and general surgeries.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with instrumentation during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients' conditions and ensure their safety throughout the surgical process.
• Engage in team-oriented scheduling and may be required to help in other departments as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Proficiency in surgical procedures, specifically in orthopedic, gynecological, and general specialties.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Prior travel experience in an Operating Room setting is essential.

Working Conditions

• Shifts are scheduled from Monday to Thursday with occasional weekend and on-call requirements.
• The average number of cases per day ranges from 6 to 10, with peak times potentially reaching up to 20 cases.
• Support staff, including OR techs, will be available, though registered nurses are not required to scrub in.
• Orientation includes unit-specific training over one week.
• Flexibility in scheduling with a self-scheduling model is applicable.
