2512-1 Loan Operations Specialist

The Loan Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the bank’s lending function by ensuring accurate and compliant loan documentation, managing escrow accounts, maintaining insurance records, and contributing to regulatory reporting such as HMDA. This position requires strong attention to detail, above-average math or accounting skills, and a thorough understanding of loan operations in a community banking environment. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process loan documentation for various loan types (consumer, commercial, real estate, etc.). Monitor and manage escrow accounts, including tax and insurance disbursements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records for all collateralized loans. Ensure compliance with HMDA reporting requirements and assist with data collection and submission. Perform quality control checks on loan files to ensure completeness and regulatory compliance. Assist with loan boarding and servicing functions in the core banking system. Perform Post Closing Review of Loan requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with Policy. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding loan documentation and servicing. Collaborate with loan officers, credit analysts, and compliance staff to support loan operations. Participate in audits and examinations by providing requested documentation and explanations. Any other duties necessary as determined by direct manager. Qualifications and Skills Above-average proficiency in math or accounting. Strong knowledge of escrow management and insurance tracking. Familiarity with HMDA regulations and reporting processes. Experience with loan documentation and servicing procedures. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processingsoftware. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred. Position based in Jasper, Tennessee.
