Exciting Opportunity for LVN - 3W MedSurg! Job Description:
- Join a dynamic team on the 3rd Floor in our state-of-the-art facility, conveniently located by elevators A and B.
- Enjoy working in a 34-bed Bariatric Medical/Surgical unit with a dedicated staff of 56 professionals.
- Collaborate in a supportive environment with the following staffing structure:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCT-CNAs
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCT-CNAs
- Experience optimal patient ratios of 1 nurse to 6 patients, ensuring quality care and attention.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment, including:
- Wound Vac
- Trach and Suction Devices
- Plum 360 IV Pumps
- Covidien Kangaroo ePump
- Kendall SCD
- Work with the Meditech EMR for efficient patient documentation.
- Opportunity for permanent positions exists within the unit! Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Mandatory Skills:
- BLS Certification
- Proficient in Starting IVs, Foley Insertion/Management, NGT Insertion/Management, Colostomy System Exchange, and Drain Management (JP, Hemovac, Wound Vac)
- Preferred Skills:
- Chest Tube Management
- Port a Cath Access and De-Access competencies Typical Procedures Performed:
- Wound Care
- Tube Feedings Personality Traits We Value:
- Team Player
- Accountable Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue or Black
- Jackets: Blue or Black
