Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering compassionate, quality care that is focused on the needs of the customer and their family. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care in alignment with hospital policies and professional nursing standards. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services provided and plays an essential role in defining, implementing, and enhancing practice standards and the care environment while promoting exceptional customer care.

Duties may vary based on the assigned customer care center and may include distinct clinical skills tailored to specific needs. The RN is expected to consistently demonstrate the organization's mission, vision, values, and guiding principles.

Key Responsibilities

Provide quality nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as well as Med Surg/Telemetry.
Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Float to Med Surg as required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years experience in Critical Care and ICU.
A minimum of 1 year of travel experience.
Current certification in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Trained in Med Surg and Telemetry.
Proficient in IV insertion.
Experience working with the adult population.
Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records.

Work Schedule

Shifts include 0700-1930 and 1900-0730 with a 36-hour guarantee. Weekend requirements are every other weekend.

Licensure

A temporary nursing license issued by the state of Minnesota will be accepted, provided an application for a permanent license has been submitted.
