Salary: 22-25 DOE

POSITION SUMMARY:

CDA Precast LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Precast Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for precast concrete projects while supporting sales and operations teams throughout the bidding and project planning process. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, construction estimating experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Please note: This is an in-house position only and is not eligible for remote work.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including:
  • Materials (manhole products, catch basins, tanks, retaining wall products, estate wall panels, etc.)
  • Labor
  • Equipment
  • Transportation and logistics
• Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Operations teams to develop competitive and accurate bid strategies
• Prepare and submit bids and proposals in a timely and professional manner
• Track and follow up on submitted bids and project awards
• Assist customers with bid inquiries, pricing, and product specifications
• Support customer purchases and will-call orders
• Create packing slips and invoices for products and sales transactions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sit/stand - frequently - office and yard environment
• Occasional walking in production or yard areas
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Good vision and hearing required
  

TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Civil plans
  • Engineering drawings
  • Specifications
• Proficient in:
  • Microsoft Excel (critical)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with estimating software preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar programs is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Construction estimating
  • Precast concrete
  • Civil construction or a related field
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
