Junior Accountant
$30 - $35 per hourLHH
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients in the non-profit industry looking to fill a Junior Accountant job for the corporate office located in Oakland, CA. This job is hybrid and will be required to work in-office 1 day a week. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of accounting experience. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for processing, reconciling, and reporting on transactions for accounts payable and account receivable, processing corporate credit card expenses, entering deposits, weekly reconciliation of fundraising receipts, assist on projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance required
- Strong debits and credits accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing and adjusting journal entries and reconciliations
- Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets and researching discrepancies
- Team player, proactive, and able to work independently
- Non-profit industry experience would be nice to have
- Dedicated, reliable, and quick to learn
- Attention to detail, problem-solver, and organized
- Strong communications (written & verbal)
- Software experience with a medium to large ERP system preferred (MIP & Concur)
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel – Intermediate to Advanced, Word & Outlook)
Experience: 3 years of accounting experience (Junior Accountant, Staff Accountant, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant)
Employment Type: Temporary (1 year) Potential temp to hire
Pay: $30 to $35
