Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic Telemetry unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Deliver post-operative care for patients following total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological procedures
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, bedside pulse-oximetry, cryotherapy devices, SCDs, and lift equipment
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, PCTs, and unit staff across day and night shifts
• Float to Surgical Telemetry as needed; available for on-call during low census periods

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surg telemetry
• Demonstrated telemetry competency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with post-operative care in a telemetry setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Team-oriented, communicative, and positive demeanor
