US Benefits Analyst, Staff
Synopsys
We Are: Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You Are: You thrive on bringing clarity to complexity, especially when it comes to employee benefits. Naturally curious, you are always asking, "Is there a better way to do this?" Digging into details energizes you, whether that is reviewing benefits data, improving communications, or helping employees understand how to make the most of what is available to them. Working independently comes naturally, but you know real progress happens through collaboration, partnering with HR, finance, payroll, vendors, and communications teams to get the job done. When priorities shift, you do not get rattled. Instead, you adapt, reprioritize, and keep moving forward. Accuracy matters to you, but so does empathy. You understand that behind every benefits question is a person just trying to navigate an important decision. Structure is your gift. You bring it where things feel manual or reactive, and you are motivated by the opportunity to help move a benefits function toward being more strategic, scalable, and impactful. At Synopsys, you will find a team that values curiosity, flexibility, and initiative, and gives you room to make a real difference. What You'll Be Doing: Administer U.S. employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, leave, and wellness, managing day-to-day operations and resolving issues end to end. Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to deliver annual benefits processes like renewals and Open Enrollment, including plan updates and employee communications. Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements like ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA, and coordinate required filings with the IRS and Department of Labor. Serve as a primary point of contact for U.S. benefits vendors, carriers, and brokers, overseeing service delivery, contract management, and escalations. Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate benefits setup, billing, eligibility management, and employee data integrity across systems. Monitor benefits costs, funding, and utilization trends, and support budgeting, reporting, and cost management strategies. Maintain compliant plan documentation like SPDs and plan documents, and create employee-facing materials that are clear, accurate, and up to date. The Impact You Will Have: Improve the employee experience by making benefits easier to understand and use. Enable the benefits team to scale effectively during periods of growth and transformation. Reduce manual work through better documentation, communication, and processes. Support strategic initiatives by turning data and insights into actionable improvements. Build trust with employees and stakeholders through clear, consistent, and accurate benefits support. Strengthen compliance posture by maintaining current, accurate plan documentation and regulatory filings. Create operational efficiency that allows the team to focus on higher-value work instead of firefighting. What You'll Need: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in benefits administration or HR operations. Proven experience managing U.S. employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. Working knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance requirements like ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Ability to analyze benefits data and evaluate multiple factors to resolve diverse issues. Strong communication skills, with experience interacting with internal partners and external vendors or carriers. Demonstrated ability to own and deliver projects or processes end to end within your area of responsibility. Comfortable operating with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment while staying aligned with broader objectives. Who You Are: You can take a complex benefits question from an employee and turn it into a clear answer without making them feel lost in policy language. You spot patterns in data or recurring issues and think about how to fix the root cause, not just the symptom. You manage multiple deadlines without dropping balls, like coordinating Open Enrollment while also handling a vendor escalation and a compliance filing. You know when to escalate and when to solve it yourself, and you are comfortable doing both. You build relationships with vendors and internal partners that make your job easier because people trust you to follow through. You are detail-oriented enough to catch errors in eligibility files or billing reconciliations before they become bigger problems. The Team You'll Be Part Of: The team shapes the future of benefits at Synopsys, leading the strategy, design, governance, and administration of programs that support and empower our people globally, while delivering clear, engaging experiences that help employees make the most of what is available to them. Rewards and Benefits: We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process. At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability. In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share more specific details on the total rewards package upon request. The base salary range for this role is across the U.S. #J-18808-Ljbffr Synopsys
