Famous Footwear is your place for athletic, fashion and casual shoes for the whole family from hundreds of name brands./ph3What We Do Accountabilities/h3ulliEnsures safe and efficient operation of the distribution center equipment by: ulliProactive preventive maintenance of equipment/liliQuick reaction to breakdowns so there is minimal mechanical down-time/liliInsuring all OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory safety requirements are met or exceeded, including documenting inspections. Performs fire system inspections/li/ul/liliFollows prescribed processes and procedures to maximize equipment readiness and velocity of product within the distribution center by: ulliMonitoring interior and exterior of facility and conducting equipment repairs as needed./liliPartnering to fix or update systems when necessary./li/ul/liliEnsures effective production support, both proactively and reactively through: ulliRegular monitoring of equipment/liliFollowing up with equipment users after a repair or system upgrade is implemented./li/ul/li/ulh3Essential Functions/h3ulliDepartment Safety responsible for following all safety guidelines. With a strong emphasis on: Lock-out Tag-out, Fall protection, OSHA compliance./liliObtain and maintain a PIV (powered industrial vehicle) licenses to operate all PIV equipment associated with the warehouse within 90 days of employment./liliCoordinate the activities of maintenance, PIV, facilities and grounds maintenance contractors./liliPerform mechanical and electrical repairs ranging from routine to advanced, on equipment associated with warehouse distribution systems./liliPerform equipment diagnostics / repairs of motor control systems, forklifts, scanners and building systems/liliDesign, oversee, and assist in the installation of electrical circuits per applicable codes/liliProficient in the operation and utilization of various test and metering equipment/liliAbility to develop and utilize PLC logic for trouble shooting / modifications/liliAbility to develop and / or perform welding and fabrication. Knowledge of ARC, MIG and gas welding. Able to perform fabrication from drawings./liliPerform PMs, repairs and overhauls on all associated equipment. Identify damaged or defective equipment and repair in a timely manner./liliFamiliar with and / or experienced with Building Management Systems/liliDetect safety hazards and plan/organize safe solutions./liliCan work independently or as part of a team./liliProvides departmental training based on areas of expertise/liliLead projects and effectively direct the efforts of others through the course of the project.
