This position plays a crucial role in preparing students for success in a variety of career related education through innovative teaching methods and real‑world application. Responsibilities Curriculum Development: Design and develop engaging curriculum aligned with state standards and CTE frameworks; integrate industry trends and technological advancements into lesson plans to ensure relevance and practical application. Instructional Delivery: Deliver effective instruction using a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles; foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students. Hands‑On Learning: Provide opportunities for hands‑on learning experiences, projects, and simulations that mimic real‑world business scenarios; incorporate technology tools and applications into lessons to enhance student understanding and proficiency. Assessment and Evaluation: Implement formative and summative assessments to measure student learning and progress effectively; provide timely feedback to students to support their academic growth and development. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends, teaching methodologies, and educational technologies; collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovative teaching strategies. Partnerships and Community Engagement: Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industry professionals, and community organizations to enhance student learning opportunities; organize field trips, guest speakers, and internship opportunities to expose students to real‑world business environments. Administrative Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies and procedures; participate in faculty meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and other school‑related events as required. Qualifications Candidates must have or be eligible for a CTE license in any area. Licensure information can be found here: NCDPI Licensure. Strong knowledge of business principles, computer applications, and programming languages. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
