Modeling and Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a talented software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects. Key Responsibilities The candidate will evolve an existing Modeling & Simulation framework (AFSIM) and its codebase based on customer needs, incorporate scenarios and models into AFSIM, and perform testing and verification. You will be a member of a dedicated team using Modern Agile software development practices and will play an important role in shaping the team’s development strategy. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong communication and organizational skills. Minimum of 3 years of C++, C#, Python, or Java development experience. Minimum of 3 years of software development experience. Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as git, SVN, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, and Gitlab runners. Active Top‑Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Desired Qualifications Experience developing software for Linux platforms. Experience following agile development processes. Experience working with mission‑level M&S frameworks such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE. Experience applying object‑oriented design patterns within software applications. Experience with model verification and validation (V&V) testing. Experience with integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and PyCharm.
