Eastern Staffing and Recruiting is searching for a direct hire Master Production Scheduler for our manufacturing client in Endicott. This position is a full time, in-office role, and plays a critical part in ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting overall supply chain performance. Out-of-state candidates will be considered, however, interviews will be conducted on-site. Interview travel and relocation will be at the cost of the candidate.

Position Summary

George Industries is seeking a highly organized and analytical Master Scheduler to lead production planning and scheduling activities across our operations. The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining an executable master production schedule (MPS) that balances customer demand, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting overall supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory targets
• Align production schedules with capacity, labor availability, and material constraints
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to ensure schedule feasibility and alignment
• Monitor and adjust schedules in response to demand changes, supply disruptions, or production issues
• Analyze key performance metrics such as:
• • On-time delivery (OTD)
  • Schedule adherence
  • Inventory turns
  • Capacity utilization
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or support integrated business planning processes
• Identify and implement improvements to scheduling processes, systems, and tools
• Manage and maintain planning data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Communicate schedule changes and priorities clearly to production teams
• Drive risk mitigation strategies related to material shortages or capacity bottlenecks

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field
• 3–7+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations
• Strong understanding of MRP/MPS systems and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Preferred

• APICS/ASCM certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Experience in manufacturing environments (discrete, process, or mixed-mode)
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Experience with advanced planning systems (APS)

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between 90K- 105K, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
