Assistant Project Manager Position Opening!

East River Contracting is hiring a full-time Assistant Project Manager to support our framing division by keeping projects organized, materials flowing, and paperwork on track behind the scenes.

This role is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, and enjoys keeping multiple moving parts organized and on schedule. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, highly organized, and comfortable communicating with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

What You'll Do

• Order materials as directed by the Project Manager
• Prepare and track submittals to keep projects compliant and on schedule
• Book hotel accommodations for traveling crews and personnel
• Track project expenses and flag budget variances to the Project Manager
• Support day-to-day project coordination and team communication
• Create sub and vendor commitments in Procore and collect required documentation
• Set up and maintain project tasks and schedules in Procore
• Review and approve team credit card fund requests

What We're Looking For

• Experience in construction administration, project coordination, or a related support role preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Comfortable working with software systems such as Procore (or willingness to learn)
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on documentation and deadlines
• Ability to work independently while keeping the Project Manager informed
• Basic understanding of construction budgets, purchasing, or scheduling preferred
• Valid driver's license required
