About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery License: Valid compact nursing license required Certifications: Current certifications as required for position Must-Have: Experience in high-risk labor and delivery management Description: Reduced non-billable orientation hours apply. The position may float between units. Weekends are required with some holiday commitments. No on-call duties are necessary. The expected patient ratios are Labor 1:2 and Antepartum 1:3. Special requirements include acute care for high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum care, managing conditions like pre-eclampsia and diabetes, and experience with multiples and VBAC/TOLAC. Candidates should have experience in active management of laboring patients and handling maternal emergencies. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Two references covering one year are required during the compliance process. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly. Module completion is expected prior to start and annually thereafter. Time spent on modules is self-reported. Completion will be recorded in transcripts.
