Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Pontiac, Michigan. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, and ensuring patient safety and education. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and promote positive patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS Certification prior to first shift; ACLS Certification prior to first shift (CIRH only); at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Responsible for timely and accurate documentation, patient education, discharge planning, and effective communication among care team members. Provides supervision and training to ancillary nursing staff, maintains personal and environmental safety, and contributes to a positive work environment through team building activities. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development.
