Shipping/Receiving Clerk

The primary responsibility of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is to handle incoming and outgoing shipments and assist in the overall functions of the shipping department. Duties include assembling boxes, addressing packages, unpacking and receiving merchandise, preparing items for shipment, arranging for the transportation of products, and shipping merchandise or material.

Responsibilities include unloading multiple shipments from delivery trucks throughout the day, receiving, verifying, and distributing equipment from various vendors to the technicians, using a computer-based system to enter/record required data, preparing pallets for shipment and arranging for delivery when required, maintaining the warehouse/receiving area in a clean and orderly manner, assisting with periodic inventory audits and maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting in the shipping department when needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent, basic knowledge of electronic parts, ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, positive, flexible, and team-first attitude, good organizational and decision-making skills, effective communication skills, ability to learn new applications and programs, ability to lift and/or move objects with a weight of up to 50 lbs, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and forklift experience preferred but not required.
