Registered Nurse - Acute Care Rehabilitation

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every 3rd weekend, holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Rehabilitation department will provide specialized care to patients with rehabilitation needs. Responsibilities include patient assessments, interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, dressing changes, and support during aseptic/sterile procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and manage patient health history, including allergies.
• Conduct telephone triage and manage pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
• Provide care for patients with neurological diagnoses, spinal cord injuries, and generalized debility.
• Float between all Cone Health campuses as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care Rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Valid RN license required upon submission.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Pass the required EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed.
