Product Demonstrator Part Time

Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve and break down product, equipment, and supplies, and intercept consumers to demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining a consistent professional appearance. Responsibilities Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Properly set up and prepare event table for execution. Achieve 100% execution of assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in using personal computer or personal mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required. Physical Demands The associate will regularly be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs or ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Work Environment Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance The associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance complying with specific retailer dress code requirements.
