Job Summary This role is responsible for supporting civil/structural design projects by preparing and reviewing design work, ensuring accuracy, and meeting project deadlines in a team-oriented environment. The position requires the use of industry codes, standards, and AutoCAD skills while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Job Description Proactive about learning new information and skills. Initiates development of personal objectives aligned with those of the organization. Seeks feedback and uses it effectively. Has a good understanding of the complete design and has good input into ways of improving the design. Utilize codes and standards to complete assignments. Recognize inefficiencies or misuse of symbology and questions. Identifies customers’ best internally and externally. Handles various assignments, including rework, in a timely manner to meet schedule deadlines. Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize productivity. Performs quality checks of the design in a team environment to ensure accuracy. Carries out assignments carefully while focused on details. Skills Required 10-15 years minimum relevant experience in civil/structural design, including SP3D/S3D experience. Receives limited instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignment from more experienced engineer. Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well. Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner. Participates on teams effectively. Accepts direction from the team. Individually contributes to success of the team. Supports project teams and departments in a positive and productive manner. Works well with other to accomplish common goals and objectives. Serves as point of contact for external or internal customers. Follows through on commitments made to internal and external customers. Able to manage multiple responsibilities with set expectations and meet deadlines. Intermediate AutoCAD skills. Education/Training/Certifications Associate degree or High School diploma Additional Requirements Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
