Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and compact or IA licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes coronary PCI and structural heart cases
• Uses Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), and Penumbra equipment
• Administers vasopressors, vasodilators, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors
• Day shift schedule of 4x9-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Call requirements of 10 to 12 call shifts per month, including every 3rd weekend
• EPIC Cupid EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA single-state or Compact/Multistate) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum of 24 months current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience required
• Experience with coronary PCI and structural heart patient types required
• Equipment experience with Impella, IABP, and Penumbra required
• Experience with vasopressor, vasodilator, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor administration required
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab discipline required for consideration
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Cardiac Cath Lab, supporting coronary and structural heart procedures
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any UPH facility if employed within the past 12 months
