Applications Architect

Job Title

Minimally Required Deliverables/Tasks

• Providing IT support for the Reemployment Assurance systems;
• Assisting with batch activity;
• Providing services for the Multi Language Translation (MLT) framework;
• Providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy;
• Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features;
• Using a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers;
• Providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across the Customer;
• Determining specifications, planning, designing, and developing the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes— either individually or in concert with a project team;
• Assisting in the most difficult support problems;
• Developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as Programming architectures for code reuse;
• Researching and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the Customer;
• Viewing both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines;
• Developing and maintaining Team Foundation Service (TFS) such as build/release automation, branching merging strategies, roles and permissions, custom task creation,
• TFS- Command Line Interface (CLI), and build definitions Visual Studio Online/Extensible Application Markup Language (VSO/XAML);
• Participating in the Technical Change Control Board activities which include code refactoring, design reviews and Read Only Memory (ROM) estimate for projects and enhancements; and
• Acting as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or other related fied/equivalent work experience;
• A minimum of 7 years of design and/or development experience with.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Oracle and SQL Server in an n-tier architecture;
• Strong background in object-oriented development techniques;
• Experience with database design and development (Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server);
• Experience with SQL tuning;
• Experience with development source control (TFS);
• Experience as a project leader on multiple IT projects;
• Experience as an expert/lead technical role.
• Experience working various projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments;
• An understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies;
• Ability to support production deployments;
• Ability to assist with troubleshooting deployment issues;
• Ability to assist with branching/merging in support of parallel development requirements;
• Experience with setting up continuous integration capabilities;
• Experience with setting up builds, transformations, and deployment configurations for each environment;
• A minimum of seven (7) years of.Net 4.5 and higher;
• A minimum of five (5) years of Visual Studio 2015 or higher;
• An in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs;
• Ability to understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies; and
• Experience with on-premise, Azure DevOps and DevOps.
