Medical Assistant/Receptionist Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant/Receptionist.

This position is full-time, 8a-4:30p, 40 hours per week.

Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, this position as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist is responsible for supporting both clinical and front office operations to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care. This role performs a combination of clinical duties, including assisting providers with patient care, and administrative duties, including patient registration, scheduling, and communication.

This position functions within the policies and procedures of Harrison County Hospital and the assigned medical practice. The Medical Assistant/Receptionist provides services to all age groups and supports all customer service initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and professional behavior in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required (based on state guidelines)
• Previous medical office experience preferred

SKILLS:

• Ability to work independently and with groups.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Annual CPR recertification
• Ability to operate office equipment: computer, printers, fax machine, copy machine, telephone
