Commercial Loan Underwriter

About the Role A bank is hiring a Senior Commercial Loan Officer / Underwriter for its loancenter in Duluth, GA. This role supports the Loan Center Manager with day-to-day loan center operations, underwrites and reviews commercial credits, monitors the existing portfolio for compliance and risk, supports lending staff, and helps implement marketing strategies to meet customer needs and loancenter goals. Requirements Key Responsibilities Reviewcredit memorandums for new, renewal, extension, and modification ofexisting commercial loans. Makepreliminary decisions on credit memorandums and inquiries for newapplicants at the loan center. Monitorthe existing portfolio to ensure covenant compliance and appropriate riskratings, minimizing the number and balance of defaults through ongoingreview and communication with borrowers and guarantors. Supportlending staff on lending-related matters, including underwriting, customerservice, decision-making, loan structuring, and loan monitoring. Partnerwith loan staff to develop effective marketing strategies to localize bankproducts. Ensurecompliance with operating policies, procedures, and outside regulatoryrequirements, and provide periodic reports to management. Required Qualifications 2+years of commercial lending experience or similar. Strongunderstanding of financial statements, credit modeling, and lending. Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and loan underwriting tools. Experiencewith marketing. Bilingualin English and Korean. Preferred Qualifications 3+years of commercial lending or underwriting experience. Priorexperience at a bank or financial institution serving Korean-affiliatedcustomers. Salary:up to $90,000 per year for applicants with 3 years of experience.
