Ultrasound Technologist (Breast Specialty)

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Description: As an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in breast imaging, you will perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of a physician and department supervisor. This role requires a high level of expertise in breast ultrasound diagnostics, ensuring optimal patient care and accurate imaging results.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations related to breast imaging.
• Adhere to established protocols and care standards to ensure improved patient outcomes.
• Train new department staff members and sonography students.
• Participate in educational sessions and contribute technical knowledge to students and allied health professionals.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and department policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• One year of breast ultrasound experience is required.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in ultrasound imaging.
• Licensure: ARMDS, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) is required.
• CPR certification upon hire, with AHA BLS to be completed within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in OBGYN and an understanding of various ultrasound modalities.
