Personal Injury Paralegal/Law Clerk

Salary: Up to $90,000 DOE + Performance Bonuses Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (Fully Onsite) Are you an experienced litigation professional who enjoys managing cases from intake through trial? Our client, an established and respected plaintiff personal injury law firm in Sacramento, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal/Law Clerk to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and wants to work alongside attorneys who actively take cases to trial. What You'll Do: Support attorneys throughout all phases of personal injury litigation Manage litigation calendars and monitor all court deadlines Prepare, draft, and file legal documents with California state and federal courts Draft complaints, discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices, case management statements, and other litigation pleadings Coordinate depositions, mediations, expert witnesses, and trial preparation Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, experts, and court personnel Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files Review incoming correspondence and ensure deadlines are accurately calendared Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and case management from filing through resolution What We're Looking For: 6+ years of experience as a Paralegal, Law Clerk, Legal Secretary, or Litigation Legal Assistant Recent law firm experience within the past two years Experience supporting personal injury, civil litigation, insurance defense, employment litigation, or medical malpractice matters Strong calendaring and deadline management skills Experience preparing litigation documents and coordinating court filings Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple active litigation matters in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff Preferred Qualifications: Trial preparation and trial support experience Experience coordinating discovery, subpoenas, depositions, and expert witnesses Familiarity with CasePeer or similar litigation case management software Thorough knowledge of California court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines Why You'll Love This Opportunity Competitive salary with performance-based case bonuses Collaborative, family-oriented team that genuinely enjoys working together Private office and the autonomy to take ownership of your work Monthly team events, holiday celebrations, and firm-sponsored outings Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off with additional flexibility earned over time Long-term career growth, including support for continued education and professional development We\'re looking for someone who wants more than just their next job.
