Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities Conduct geotechnical field investigations including soil sampling and borehole drilling Perform laboratory testing on soil, aggregates, and related materials Analyze field and lab data to evaluate soil and groundwater conditions Assess subsurface conditions to support foundation and construction design Prepare clear, accurate geotechnical reports and technical documentation Operate and maintain testing equipment, including nuclear density gauges Ensure testing and reporting meet project specifications and regulatory standards Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and clients to communicate findings Review reports for accuracy and provide corrections when necessary Mentor junior staff and support project teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field 5+ years of geotechnical or environmental field experience E.I.T. or P.E. license preferred Strong knowledge of soil classification, sampling, and laboratory testing Excellent technical writing and communication skills Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites Geotechnical engineers investigate soil and rock conditions through sampling, drilling, and laboratory analysis to support safe construction and foundation design #J-18808-Ljbffr
