Associate Pastor for Students and Singles
Student & Singles Pastor – First Baptist Church Carlsbad (Carlsbad, New Mexico)
First Baptist Church Carlsbad is prayerfully seeking a full-time Student & Singles Pastor to provide visionary leadership for our Student Ministry (grades 6–12) and Singles/Young Adult Ministry (ages 18–25). This position is responsible for leading, discipling, and equipping students, young adults, and their families while fostering spiritual growth, evangelism, missions involvement, and meaningful connections within the life of the church. The successful candidate will be a spiritually mature, Christ-centered leader who demonstrates a clear call to ministry, a passion for reaching the next generation, and a commitment to conservative Southern Baptist theology. Previous ministerial experience working with Students and a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
First Baptist Church Carlsbad is a multi-generational, mission-minded Southern Baptist congregation located in southeastern New Mexico. With approximately 250 in Sunday morning worship attendance, FBC Carlsbad is recognized as a leader within the Baptist Convention of New Mexico and maintains a strong commitment to the Great Commission through local, state, national, and international missions. The church values biblical preaching, intentional discipleship, community engagement, and multigenerational ministry.
The Student & Singles Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor and ministry staff to lead weekly Bible studies, worship gatherings, discipleship opportunities, mission projects, camps, retreats, outreach events, and volunteer development. Additional responsibilities include pastoral care, church-wide ministry involvement, and support for the church’s overall mission and vision.
