Pay Grade: 305 # of Days: 239 Salary: $90,225 - $108,704 FLSA Status: Exempt Position Purpose Coordinates the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Advanced Academics and Gifted & Talented (G/T) programming across the district to ensure equitable access, rigorous instruction, and measurable student outcomes. Supports campuses in delivering coherent PK-12 advanced learning experiences, including G/T identification and services, Advanced Placement, and academic enrichment opportunities. Uses data-driven practices to increase participation, improve student performance, and expand pathways that contribute to college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) outcomes. Essential Job Functions Coordinates the implementation of district-aligned Advanced Academics and G/T programming across PK-12 campuses, ensuring coherence, rigor, and alignment to district priorities. Supports campuses in delivering high-quality Advanced Placement and advanced learning experiences that promote student achievement and readiness for postsecondary success. Coordinates a research-based, equitable identification process for G/T students, ensuring compliance with state requirements and district expectations. Designs and delivers professional learning to support teachers, counselors, and administrators in implementing advanced academics and G/T services with fidelity. Designs, adapts, and writes high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), including daily lessons and assessments, ensuring curriculum and assessment design drive deep teacher internalization and high-quality instructional delivery aligned to the FWISD Instructional Framework. Provides technical assistance and ongoing support to campuses to strengthen instructional delivery in advanced coursework. Monitors student participation, performance, and outcomes in Advanced Academics and G/T programs; identifies trends and supports campuses with improvement strategies. Coordinates districtwide advanced academic events and enrichment opportunities (e.g., UIL, academic competitions, enrichment programs) to expand student engagement. Collaborates across departments, including CCMR, curriculum, and school leadership to ensure alignment of advanced academic programming with district goals. Supports compliance with applicable federal, state, and local policies related to G/T services and advanced academic programming. Communicates regularly with campus and district leadership regarding program implementation, performance, and support needs. Coordinates and supports collegiate testing such as PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP Exam district wide and at the campus level as needed. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling and availability, including extended or adjusted work hours during peak testing windows and critical reporting periods, to ensure all assessment operations are executed with fidelity and urgency. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of G/T programming requirements and identification processes. Knowledge of Advanced Academics programming, including AP and G/T enrichment models. Knowledge of CCMR indicators and how advanced academic participation contributes to student outcomes. Knowledge of data systems, reporting structures, and program evaluation practices. Knowledge of CCMR indicators and Outcomes-Based Funding (OBF), including how student outcomes drive accountability and funding. Knowledge of graduation requirements, endorsements, and certification eligibility. Skill in analyzing student-level data, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement. Skill in designing and delivering professional learning for teachers and campus staff. Skill in coordinating implementation across multiple campuses and stakeholder groups. Skill in data literacy, including the ability to run reports, analyze student-level data, identify trends, and act on insights in real time to improve outcomes. Skill in collecting, validating, and reporting data related to pathway participation, certification attainment, and student performance. Skill in providing technical assistance, coaching support, and problem-solving to campus staff. Skill in coordinating work across counselors, administrators, teachers, and central departments. Skill in supporting the design and delivery of professional learning aligned to pathway implementation and student outcomes. Skill in managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines with strong attention to detail and execution. Ability to support equitable access to advanced coursework and G/T services. Travel Requirements Travels to District buildings and professional meetings as required. Travels as District Administrator on-duty to student competitions in and out of state. Physical & Mental Demands, Work Hazards Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals. Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). Environment: Works in an office setting; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours. Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position. Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions. Minimum Required Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Education preferred. Certification/License: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate preferred. Gifted and Talented certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment. Experience: 3 years of experience in teaching, Advanced Academics, G/T education, and/or a related field required. Experience supporting Advanced Academics and/or G/T programming and coursework implementation at the campus or district level, or supporting G/T identification and services, including familiarity with state requirements and equitable identification practices required. Experience successfully collaborating with administrators, counselors, and teachers at the secondary level required. Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly in a large urban school district preferred.
