RN - Postpartum (Contract Position)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift)

The RN will work in a 97-bed postpartum unit with a Level IV maternal and Level III NICU, which has an annual birth volume of 12,000 and approximately 1,000 births per month. The position requires advanced NRP certification and utilizes a couplet care model with a patient ratio of 1:4. The unit is recognized for having the 5th largest birth volume in the nation and the highest within its healthcare system.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care in a postpartum setting
• Perform non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, and medication administration
• Administer insulin, magnesium, and heparin drips
• Collaborate effectively with the medical team and provide exceptional care to patients and families

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN License
• BLS Certification required; NRP Advanced Provider certification preferred
• Previous labor/delivery or antepartum experience is a plus
