Risk Mitigation Analytics Consultant, Commercial Risk

Position Summary The Risk Mitigation Analytics Consultant (RMAC) will be an expert in data analysis and integrity and serve as a mentor and teacher of the design and delivery of actionable analytics and reporting. The RMAC must possess knowledge of insurance program design, underwriting strategy and have skills in interpreting data to illuminate client and colleague comprehension with the overall goal of reducing costs of risk. The RMAC may lead and manage the day‑to‑day activities of a group of Risk Mitigation Analysts and is expected to develop their technical and leadership skills and help with the overall strategic direction of our analytics and marketing deliverables. Principal Responsibilities Learning and development of Risk Mitigation Analysts and other colleagues as deemed appropriate and necessary. Manage and lead the day‑to‑day activities and services of Risk Mitigation Analysts. Ensure client satisfaction and acquisition by developing analytics deliverables that are on the vanguard in our industry. Keep abreast of current trends and advances in analytics and help with overall strategy and creation of actionable client and underwriting analytics. Present analytics to clients and colleagues in an effective manner that improves understanding of how to lower costs of risk. Prepare claim analytics that identify risk mitigation opportunities and provide solutions that create favorable client underwriting profiles. Produce monthly client claim analytics that identify key performance trends and indicators. Produce and organize monthly data used in the creation of analytical reports. Prepare and update client dashboards that aid management in resource allocation. Research and report on industry trends with the goal of identifying inefficiencies in client strategies and tactics that affect their overall risk profile. Develop KPIs that identify areas of strength and opportunity within a book of business and implement solutions related to inventory shrink. Mentor colleagues as requested. Develop an understanding of marketing strategies and contribute to business development and renewal opportunities by attending client meetings to explain the firm's approach to analytics. Remain well‑informed of industry trends and best practices with regards to analytics and other related deliverables. Assist and participate in client and firm level training and awareness programs including assessments, presentations and other meetings that build superior experiences with clients and colleagues. Aid in the firm's claim intake and reporting process. Research and work with vendors as necessary that align with our overall strategy of providing clients with the best tools and technology (e.g., Origami, PRISM, Zywave). Collaborate with business partners, carrier underwriters and colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients. Regularly review client risk trends and keep up to date and within industry best practices. Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements Ability to effectively manage and in some cases lead day‑to‑day activities of Risk Mitigation Analysts. Analyzing trends, determining courses of action and presenting solutions is an important component of this role. Ability to motivate and influence colleagues and clients; the role of teacher, trainer and mentor cannot be overemphasized. Works as part of a team of professionals and builds relationships with other firm business segments. Communicates verbally and in writing to all levels of the firm and to a diverse group of clients. Gives presentations of solutions, value propositions and risk mitigation strategies to colleagues, clients and prospects. Reads and interprets documents such as profit and loss statements, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence. Speaks effectively to groups of customers or colleagues of an organization. Certifications desired: AIC, SCLA, CPCU, ARM, LPC. Knowledge and understanding of Spanish language is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and quick learning of program‑specific tools such as Sagitta, EPIC, BKS PRISM, Origami, Carrier Websites, Zywave, Loss Forecaster, Mod Master and GoToMeeting. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrates core values and aligned behavior with the firm's culture. Occasional overnight travel may be required depending on client needs. Special Working Conditions Fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment. Travel may be required.
