Principals teachers parents and students value a good substitute teacher. Research has shown that a student spends over one full year with a substitute teacher by the time he/she graduates from high school. Skilled substitute teachers can be a significant positive impact on the quality of education while the permanent teacher is away.

Requirements / Qualifications

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOCATION:County WideSALARY:$200 per dayHOURS/DAYS:On Call As NeededEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit - Bachelors Degree in any subject. Prospective Substitute Permit - 90 semester units meet BSR and be currently enrolled in a regionally-accredited four-year California college or AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Holds or has the ability to obtain a California Teaching Credential or a 30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit or a Prospective Substitute PermitHolds a Certificate of Completion from the STEDI Online Training Course Holds a valid Certificate of Clearance from Commission on Teacher Credentialing
