The property is also within walking distance of the Charlotte Convention Center and the city's business district. Overview The purpose of the WMHS Internship Program is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations through guided observation, mentorship, and leadership exposure across multiple departments. This program follows a rotational, phase-based model designed to build an understanding of hotel operations, while also providing exposure to key cross functional departments such as human resources, sales, and beyond. Responsibilities Responsibilities Shadow department leaders and team members across key areas, such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources. Participate in structured training and learning sessions led by operational subject matter experts. Develop an understanding of how individual roles and departments contribute to overall hotel performance. Build and maintain professional relationships with hospitality leaders and team members. Communicate regularly with leadership, including participation in weekly check-ins. Attend and actively listen in training sessions and departmental meetings. This approach allows interns to connect classroom knowledge with real-world operations while developing a holistic view of hotel management and leadership pathways.
