Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade/Trade Transformation Office/Automated Commercial Environment Division located in Ashburn, VA or Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Salary: $102,415.00 (GS‑12, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS‑13, Step 10). Duties Support and advise acquisition program managers or other acquisition officials on various aspects of acquisition. Typical duties include: Implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a segment of a CBP acquisition program or supporting acquisitions staff related to acquisition. Developing, implementing, and monitoring management information systems for the analysis and tracking of program data. Assisting with developing briefings, presentations, and white papers for use by senior Program Management and Program Management Office Manager or acquisition staff. Performing analysis/review of CBP acquisition programs and their related documentation. Requirements U.S. Citizen. Males born after December 31 1959 must be registered with Selective Service. Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. Pre‑employment processes conducted in English. Background investigation required. Compliance with CBP Drug‑Free Workplace Plan for drug testing procedures. Adherence to government ethics standards and CBP specific rules. Eligibility verified via E‑Verify. Qualifications Experience: GS‑12: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including reviewing and analyzing acquisition program activities, compiling requirements, and conducting research. GS‑13: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, including assessing cargo processing capabilities, gathering requirements for development projects, and conducting trade analysis studies. Additional Information Certifications: Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC‑P/PM) desired. FAI Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Level II or Level III required within 12 months of placement.
