The Food Service Director oversees all aspects of the district's school nutrition program. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, managing staff, maintaining budgets, and delivering appealing, nutritious meals to students. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct all food service operations across the district
- Ensure compliance with USDA, state, and local regulations
- Develop menus that meet nutritional guidelines and student preferences
- Manage department budget, purchasing, and inventory
- Supervise, train, and evaluate food service staff
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Prepare reports and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with administrators, staff, and community stakeholders
