The Role

Responsible for activities performed in the Department. Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.

Requirements:

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises 1-10 employees within the production department(s).
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems .
• Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
• Communicate with others to convey information effectively and respectfully.
• Enforce safe work practices and procedures.
• Leads crew by example.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience or equivalent (Welding experience)
• Forklift certified.
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow

• Frequently loud noise (examples: metal can manufacture, large earth-moving equipment)
• Continually very loud noise (concrete mixers, vibration tables)

• Pay range: $26.00 – $28.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
