Position Summary:
We are specifically seeking experienced industrial candidates with heavy manufacturing backgrounds (not entry-level or residential experience) who can perform production-critical repairs in a heavy industrial environment. This role combines advanced welding/fabrication and industrial electrical troubleshooting to support continuous plant uptime. Technicians must be able to respond quickly to breakdowns and complete structural, mechanical, and electrical repairs correctly the first time to prevent repeat failures between shifts.

Core Responsibilities: This position includes responsibilities across both mechanical/fabrication and electrical systems:

Welding & Fabrication / Mechanical Maintenance

• MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (mild steel and stainless)
• Fabrication of custom tooling and plant components
• Structural repairs to furnaces
• Hydraulic cylinder, pump, and fitting repair
• Blueprint reading and field measurement interpretation
• Operation of torch, plasma cutter, and fabrication equipment
• Emergency breakdown response during production
• Accurate documentation of completed mechanical work

Industrial Electrical Maintenance

• Troubleshooting 24V, 120V, 240V, and 480V systems
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of motor controls, VFDs, relays, and contactors
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
• Electrical preventive maintenance tasks
• Basic PLC input/output troubleshooting
• Lockout/Tagout compliance and safe electrical work practices
• Electrical support for cranes and other plant equipment
• Documentation of all electrical repairs and work performed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in welding/fabrication and/or industrial electrical roles (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in heavy industrial, high-heat, or continuous production environments
• Solid understanding of 3-phase power systems and motor controls
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/blueprints
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and safe repair procedures
• Ability to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Strong commitment to safety, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
