Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy student for a specialized summer internship. This role is focused on a critical infrastructure project: the systematic reorganization and renaming of a high-volume electronic document library. This is an ideal opportunity for a student looking to gain experience in data integrity, digital organization, and the operational workflows of a professional business environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Data Categorization: Identifying and sorting documents into a digital directory structure based on date and document typeSystematic Renaming: Reviewing large volumes of digital files (PDFs, Excel, Word) and renaming them according to a pre-defined naming conventionWorkflow Documentation: Maintaining a simple log of progress and identifying any files that require further administrative reviewThe Intern will work approximately 10–15 hours per week. Specific days and times will be negotiated with the Assistant Controller.QualificationsEducation, Experience and Competencies:Currently enrolled as a student at West Virginia University, preferably majoring in accounting, finance, MIS, business management or a related fieldIn good academic standing with the University and free of any disciplinary actionsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsDemonstrate strong accountability and follow-throughI,A2401_1192_0Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once project scope is definedPhysical requirementsWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
